About
Founded in 1967 as the Caribbean community's gift to Canada's centennial, this carnival brings together costumed mas bands each summer around steel pan, calypso and soca music. The grand parade has run since 1991 along Lake Shore Boulevard toward Exhibition Place, drawing large crowds along its route.
