Tunø Festival

Held each year from 1987 to 2019 on the small island of Tunø off Odder in the Kattegat, this festival ran from Thursday to Sunday at the start of the Danish summer holidays. Its programme centered on Danish and Irish folk and rock, staged in an intimate island setting run largely by volunteers through the Tunø Festival Association. Weakened by financial troubles and then by a pandemic cancellation, it was discontinued in 2020.
