About
Uma Pido is a Võro-language choral and folk song festival held alternately in Võru and Põlva, with the most recent edition taking place at the Intsikurmu festival grounds. Born from a 2006 cultural cooperation initiative between the Võru and Põlva regions, it first took place in 2008 and follows the format of Estonia's grand song festivals, with choirs rehearsing together by day before an evening concert-show. It brings together thousands of amateur singers and performers celebrating the Võro language and culture.
