Urdd Eisteddfod

The Urdd Eisteddfod (Eisteddfod yr Urdd) is an annual Welsh youth festival of literature, music and performing arts, run by the Urdd Gobaith Cymru organisation since 1929. Regarded as one of Europe's largest youth festivals, it brings together thousands of competitors aged 7 to 24 in singing, recitation, dance and instrumental music contests, all conducted in Welsh. The festival travels to a different part of Wales each year and draws tens of thousands of visitors.
