Verein Werdinsel Openair

Organized by its namesake association, the Werdinsel Openair takes place on the Werdinsel island in Zurich's Höngg district, between the Limmat river and a canal leading to a hydroelectric plant. It is the oldest free open-air festival in the city of Zurich, held every two years with an eclectic lineup spanning reggae, pop and rock in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere that includes a dedicated children's concert. Reachable only on foot or by public transport, its island setting gives it a distinctive character among Swiss festivals.
