Vossajazz

Founded in 1973 in Voss, Norway, Vossajazz takes place each year over the Palm Sunday weekend, originally timed to coincide with an alpine skiing World Cup event in the town. The programme reaches well beyond straight jazz into folk and world music traditions, with strands for children (Badnajazz), young musicians and more experimental sounds (Ekstremjazz). Each edition also features a newly commissioned work by a Norwegian composer.
