WaveAid

WaveAid was a one-off benefit concert held on 29 January 2005 at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Australia to raise funds for victims of the December 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. Featuring Australian acts such as Midnight Oil, Silverchair, Powderfinger, Nick Cave and John Butler Trio, it drew around 50,000 attendees. The show raised several million dollars for humanitarian organisations including UNICEF and the Red Cross.
