Weinturm Open Air

Weinturm Open Air takes place every year on the first weekend of August on a plateau above Bad Windsheim in Bavaria, Germany. Running since 1977 and organized by a local youth culture association, this family friendly festival brings together around twenty indie, rock and pop acts on its main stage, alongside singer songwriters, spoken word and children's entertainment on a smaller side stage. Deliberately kept small, at roughly 3,000 attendees, it prizes its close knit, unpretentious atmosphere over commercial scale.
