About
The Wheatland Music Festival has taken place in Remus, Michigan since 1974, making it one of the longest running traditional music festivals in the American Midwest. Run by the nonprofit Wheatland Music Organization, it showcases bluegrass, folk, blues, Cajun, old time, and zydeco music every second weekend of September. Born out of a volunteer effort tied to a local food co op, the festival keeps a strong community feel and a mission of preserving traditional roots music.
