The Fränkische Musiktage take place every autumn in Alzenau, Bavaria, in historic venues such as Alzenau Castle, the Historisches Hofgut and the Kälberau pilgrimage church. Founded in 1976, it is the oldest music festival in the Rhine-Main region, dedicated to classical music and jazz, with a strong focus on winners of major international competitions such as the Tchaikovsky and ARD competitions.
