Ascona Jazz Festival

JazzAscona takes place along the shores of Lake Maggiore and through the streets of Ascona's historic old town, in the Swiss canton of Ticino. Founded in the 1980s, it is devoted to jazz with a strong historical link to New Orleans, whose musical tradition it showcases. Admission is free and concerts are held outdoors, without barriers or checkpoints, in an open-town atmosphere.
