Barga Jazz Festival

The Barga Jazz Festival has been held in summer in Barga, in the province of Lucca, since it was founded in 1986. A jazz event, it combines concerts with an international competition for jazz orchestra arrangement and composition, along with educational activities. Since 1999, its performances have taken place at the Teatro dei Differenti, in the town's historic centre.
