Born Creative Festival

The Born Creative Festival (Bonkuri Fes) takes place in Tokyo at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, presenting concerts, workshops and varied formats built around brand new music since its launch in 2017. Led by composer Dai Fujikura, its artistic director from the start, it has introduced hundreds of contemporary works and draws several thousand visitors each year, including very young children. The festival mixes improvisation, traditional Japanese instruments, electronic music and contemporary ensembles in an open, participatory spirit.
