Brännbollsyran

Founded in 1974 and relaunched on a larger scale in 2010, Brannbollsyran takes place each summer in Umea, in northern Sweden, along the banks of the Ume River. Billed as the biggest music festival in northern Scandinavia, it pairs an international pop and rock lineup with the brannboll (Swedish rounders) tournament that gives it its name, blending grassroots sport with big-name stages.
