About
Launched in 1980 as a modest two-day gathering, the Calgary Folk Music Festival now runs for four days in late July at Prince's Island Park in Calgary, Canada. Its lineup blends folk, blues, funk, pop, world music and hip-hop, drawing artists from more than fifteen countries across multiple outdoor stages. A turning point came in 2002 with the installation of a permanent mainstage on the island.
