About
The Cape Town International Jazz Festival has been held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre since its founding in 2000, after starting out at the Good Hope Centre, and ranks among the largest jazz festivals in the world. Its lineup, which has hosted figures like Herbie Hancock, Hugh Masekela and Miriam Makeba, extends beyond straight jazz into funk, afropop, soul and fusion across multiple stages. It has established itself as the leading jazz event on the African continent.
