Charivari jazz festival

The Charivari Jazz Festival, organized by the association Figures Libres, spreads across several towns in the Vendômois area around Montoire-sur-le-Loir, including Azé, Meslay, Les Roches-l'Évêque and Thoré-la-Rochette. Rather than lining up separate acts, it gathers around ten jazz musicians skilled in improvisation into a one-off ensemble that performs in shifting configurations, from big band to duo. Concerts take place in unusual local venues, town halls, libraries, market squares and along the banks of the Loir river.
