Dance Ska La

Founded in Rennes in 1990 by Skant, singer and saxophonist of the band Verska Vis, Dance Ska La is France's first festival entirely dedicated to ska music. It takes place at the Salle de la Cité and gathers bands from across Europe playing sixties ska, rocksteady and early reggae, sometimes venturing into 2-tone territory. Held at irregular intervals, the festival has built a loyal following among fans of Jamaican music.
