"En mai, pépète lumière fait ce qu'il lui plaît" is the festival run by the pépète lumière association, based in the Clunisois area of Saône-et-Loire. For close to a decade it has offered a bold, inventive lineup mixing improvised music, sound poetry and visual art, with forays into dance and circus. Each year the festival takes over unusual venues and striking local architecture, bringing artists rarely booked in rural areas to new audiences.
