Féria de Carcassonne

The Feria de Carcassonne takes place each year at the end of summer in the historic centre of the city, around Boulevard Omer Sarraut and Avenue du Maréchal Joffre. Over several days it offers free open-air concerts with a Spanish and Sevillian flavour, flamenco, salsa, tango, musette and Occitan bands, alongside marching bands and brass bands parading through the streets. Focused more on music and street conviviality than on bullfighting, it traditionally marks the close of Carcassonne's summer season.
