Festival Bananada

Festival Bananada takes place every year in Goiânia, in the state of Goiás, spreading dozens of shows across different venues around the city. Founded in the late 1990s by musician and producer Fabrício Nobre, it centers on Brazilian independent rock and singer-songwriter music, with a name that pokes fun at the seriousness of bigger festivals. Widely regarded by the specialized press as one of Brazil's key independent music gatherings, it has helped establish Goiânia as a hub for alternative music.
