About
The Festival de Peralada takes place each summer in the gardens of Peralada Castle, a fortress of Gothic and Renaissance origin in Catalonia. Founded in 1987 on the initiative of Carmen Mateu and Arturo Suqué with support from soprano Montserrat Caballé, it is devoted to opera and classical music and has hosted Plácido Domingo, Jonas Kaufmann and Cecilia Bartoli.
