Festival des monts de la Madeleine

The Festival des Monts de la Madeleine has run since 2003, based in Renaison in the Roannais area, with concerts spreading to surrounding villages such as Saint-Nicolas-des-Biefs, Laprugne and the abbey of La Bénisson-Dieu. Founded by a young wind quintet then studying at the Paris Conservatoire, it offers chamber music, orchestral works and choral singing across several summer weeks. Concerts unfold in characterful venues, churches and chapels, fostering close encounters between artists and audiences amid unspoiled countryside.
