Festival Internacional de Jazz de la Riviera Maya

This open air jazz festival takes place in Playa del Carmen, on Mexico's Riviera Maya, in front of the Maya Gateway in Parque Fundadores. Launched in the early 2000s, it ran for around twenty editions bringing Latin and international jazz musicians to a free, seaside setting that drew thousands of spectators nightly. After its original format ended, the event has continued under a new iteration led by the Explayarte music school.
