Festival m'IMPROvise

Founded in Étampes, in the Essonne department, by trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf, this festival is held every June at the Théâtre intercommunal d'Étampes and at the Île de Loisirs. Its artistic line centers on shared improvisation across jazz, French song and contemporary music, with artists creating on stage without prior rehearsal. The closing evening brings together Ibrahim Maalouf and other improvising musicians.
