Hurricane Festival has taken place since 1997 on the Eichenring, a former speedway circuit in Scheeßel, Lower Saxony. Held the same weekend as its twin event Southside, it shifted from a rock and punk focus toward a mix of rock, pop, indie and electronic acts, drawing more than 80,000 attendees.
