International Pasty Festival

Held in Real del Monte, in the Mexican state of Hidalgo, since 2009 over three days in October, this festival celebrates the paste, a savory pastry brought by Cornish miners in the nineteenth century, through tastings, museum visits and talks. It also includes concerts, but remains primarily a food and heritage festival rather than a music event in the strict sense.
