Jazz en Val de Cher

Jazz en Val de Cher runs each summer over roughly ten days between Saint-Aignan-sur-Cher and Mareuil-sur-Cher, in the southern Loir-et-Cher region. Founded in 2001 and run by the Compagnie Jazz association, it is built around a three-part concept unusual in France: concerts, instrumental workshops and informal happenings such as swing dances, jam sessions and impromptu café concerts. The lineup blends traditional and contemporary jazz, swing and improvised music.
