Jazz in Marciac

Founded in 1978 in this village in the Gers department, Jazz in Marciac holds its concerts each summer under a large marquee set up on the village square, seating several thousand spectators. Its programming, centred on jazz and its African American roots, has broadened over the decades to include blues and improvised music while keeping a strong place for New Orleans style jazz.
