About
Founded in 2011 by the Friends of John Coltrane association, this festival honors the saxophonist born in High Point, North Carolina, where a bronze statue has stood in his memory since 2006. It is held at Oak Hollow Festival Park, on the shore of a lake, featuring jazz, blues, R&B, rock and hip-hop acts, with Ravi Coltrane appearing regularly. Proceeds fund music education programs for local youth.
