Kaltenbach Open Air

Kaltenbach Open Air has been held since 2003 in Spital am Semmering, in Austria's Styrian Alps. Regarded as one of the country's leading extreme metal festivals, it brings together black metal, death metal, thrash and related genres against a rugged mountain backdrop. Despite its remote setting, the site remains reachable by public transport, which has helped it build a loyal following.
