Kilifi New Year

Held each year around New Year's on the Kenyan coast near Kilifi, this festival takes place in a baobab forest overlooking Takaungu Creek (also known as Beneath the Baobabs). Multiple open-air stages showcase afro house, amapiano, gengetone, hip hop, reggae and electronic music, bringing together Kenyan and international artists. Its intimate, community-driven atmosphere pairs a striking natural setting with art and a beachside New Year celebration.
