Le Currents

Le Currents is held in Taupō, beside the Waikato River, at Riverside Park. Launched in 2020 as an intimate summer festival, it has grown quickly into a two-day event, with a lineup built around indie and surf rock plus a selection of DJs, evoking the spirit of festivals of old like Woodstock. It draws sizeable crowds each year and has become a boost to the local tourism economy.
