Les émouvantes

Founded in 2012 by double bassist Claude Tchamitchian and his company Émouvance, this Marseille festival focuses on French and European jazz and improvised music, a repertoire considered underrepresented in the region. Since 2021 it has been held at the Pierre Barbizet Conservatory, after many years at the Théâtre des Bernardines, and pairs concerts with educational activities involving the school's students.
