Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod

Founded in 1947 in the aftermath of the Second World War to foster reconciliation through music, this international competition takes place each year in early July in the small Welsh town of Llangollen. Choirs, dancers and instrumentalists from dozens of countries compete across more than twenty categories, with daytime competitions followed by evening concerts.
