Music Biennale Zagreb

Founded in 1961 by composer Milko Kelemen, the Music Biennale Zagreb is an international contemporary music festival organized by the Croatian Composers' Society and held every spring of odd numbered years in the Croatian capital. Its programming spans symphony orchestras, chamber ensembles, experimental musical theatre, contemporary dance, jazz and electronic music. Over the decades it has hosted major figures of contemporary composition such as Luciano Berio, John Cage and Witold Lutosławski, and ranks among Europe's key events for new music.
