About
Founded in 1944 in Boston, the New England Folk Festival, run by the New England Folk Festival Association, brings together traditional dance and music centered on contra dance and international folk forms. It is held each year in New England at a multi-hall school complex, where audience participation matters as much as the performances on stage.
