About
Every August, Oslo Jazz Festival fills ten to fifteen venues across central Oslo with more than seventy concerts over the course of a week. Founded in 1986, this non-profit festival spans the full range of jazz styles, from bebop to contemporary forms, and has hosted artists including Herbie Hancock, Jan Garbarek, Charles Lloyd and Melody Gardot over the years. It has established itself as one of Norway's major jazz gatherings, built around the variety of its city-centre stages.
