PAPJAZZ

PAPJAZZ, the Port-au-Prince International Jazz Festival, takes place every January across the Haitian capital, turning bars, restaurants and cultural venues into concert spaces for the week. Founded in 2007, it brings together close to a hundred musicians from Haiti and its diaspora, the Caribbean, Europe and the Americas, centered on jazz and Haitian creole jazz. Most shows are free, making it a citywide celebration that promotes jazz appreciation, cultural exchange and tourism.
