Porretta Soul Festival

Founded in 1988 in Porretta Terme, a thermal spa town in the Tosco-Emilian Apennines between Bologna and Florence, this festival is devoted to soul, rhythm and blues and funk, with a lineup historically built around Memphis-connected artists. Concerts take place across the town centre, including Rufus Thomas Park, named after the soul musician the main stage honours.
