Portlaoise Jazz Festival

Founded in 1988 and revived after a roughly thirty-year gap, the Portlaoise Jazz Festival in County Laois returns with a programme spanning jazz, blues and soul. Around forty acts perform across some twenty venues in the town, from the Dunamaise Arts Centre to the pubs of Main Street, alongside a free Jazz Pub Trail that fills the streets. The line-up mixes Irish and international artists in a close, town-wide atmosphere.
