Launched in 1999 as the southern counterpart to Hurricane Festival, Southside has been held since 2000 in Neuhausen ob Eck, on a former military airfield near Lake Constance. Organised by FKP Scorpio, it draws around 60,000 attendees for a broad lineup spanning rock, punk, indie, electronic and hip hop.
