About
Suma Flamenca is a flamenco festival launched in 2006 by the Community of Madrid, centred on the Teatros del Canal but reaching venues across the city and up to ten districts and towns in the region. Its programme spans singing, guitar and dance, balancing traditional flamenco with more avant-garde stagings and a strong share of world premieres. The festival also includes a dedicated guitar strand and a Suma Flamenca Joven cycle showcasing emerging artists under thirty.
