About
Founded in 1973, the Telluride Bluegrass Festival takes place at Town Park, a natural bowl ringed by the peaks of the San Juan Mountains in Colorado, at an elevation above 2,600 meters. Organized by Planet Bluegrass, it has helped shape the newgrass movement by booking artists who push past traditional bluegrass, such as Sam Bush and Béla Fleck, alongside the genre's established figures.
