About
Founded in 1977, the Telluride Jazz Festival takes place in Town Park, an open space at the end of Telluride's main street in Colorado's Rocky Mountains. Originally centered on jazz with performers such as Dizzy Gillespie and Etta James, the lineup has broadened over the decades to include funk, soul and improvised music, featuring artists such as Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea and John Scofield.
