Three Rivers Arts Festival

The Three Rivers Arts Festival is a free visual and performing arts festival held every summer in downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1960 by the Women's Committee of the Carnegie Museum of Art, it has hosted more than ten thousand visual artists and performers over the decades, combining outdoor music stages, an artists' market and installations. Past programming has featured figures as varied as Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles and Allen Ginsberg.
