Overview
About
Founded in 1973, Umbria Jazz takes place each summer in the historic center of Perugia, with open-air concerts along Corso Vannucci and in the Giardini Carducci. Over the decades it has hosted major jazz figures such as Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie and Herbie Hancock, and runs an educational strand, the Berklee Clinics. A winter edition takes place in late December in nearby Orvieto.
