Venezia Jazz Festival

Organised by the Veneto Jazz association, founded in 1988, this festival takes place in Venice in June and July, bringing together internationally known jazz and contemporary music artists alongside emerging Italian talent. Since its launch in 2008 it has given the city international visibility, with memorable concerts such as Sting performing with the La Fenice Symphony Orchestra in St Mark's Square. The festival is also linked to a training workshop co-produced with New York's New School, held in nearby Chioggia.
