Overview
About
Founded in 1976, the Winterthurer Musikfestwochen is one of Europe's oldest pop and rock festivals, held each summer in the old town of Winterthur, Switzerland. Spread across five stages set up around streets and squares such as Steinberggasse, Kirchplatz and Viehmarkt, around a hundred concerts run over twelve days, with most of the festival free to attend. The lineup mixes emerging Swiss and international acts with headliners, alongside a broader cultural program of theatre, readings and food stalls.
