Woodstock 1999

This rock, metal and rap festival ran from July 22 to 25, 1999, on the former Griffiss Air Force Base in Rome, New York, a vast paved site with little shade. It brought together acts such as Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Limp Bizkit and Rage Against the Machine before several hundred thousand attendees, in an edition marked by extreme heat and fires toward its close.
